The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics recognized Anne-Marie Nuñez in 2016 for 10 years of teaching and award-winning research.
The associate professor of higher education and student affairs joined EHE last autumn from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Among her contributions there, she helped launch a program to educate graduate students in higher education administration, the first of its kind in the city.
Shayne Piasta is one of two U.S. education researchers and the only Ohio State professor honored with the 2017 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
It is the highest honor given by the U.S. government to science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their research careers. Piasta’s research focuses on early childhood literacy initiatives aimed at reducing achievement gaps.
