“I learned what service truly means thanks to the Multicultural Histories and Legacies of London and Paris education abroad program,” said Maggie Kennedy, a junior in human development and family science.
Twenty-four students explored the European cities last summer to understand how service, learning and leadership intersect globally. They studied current and historical issues faced by immigrants via walking tours and museum visits. They also volunteered in soup kitchens and met with Muslim community members to discuss discrimination.
