Finding a way to pay it forward

President, EHE Alumni Society
Serving as your Alumni Society president is an honor.
As a poor, first generation, college-bound kid from Detroit, I didn’t believe The Ohio State University was a possibility.
But in 1990, after earning degrees elsewhere, I was recruited and offered a scholarship to complete my PhD. Attending
Ohio State changed the trajectory of my life in ways I could never have imagined.
Thanks in part to that experience, today I’m the superintendent of Ohio’s Fairfield County Educational Service Center.
In an effort to pay forward what this university has given me, I serve on the board.
I invite each of you to engage with the EHE Alumni Society and find a way you, too, can pay forward.
